Become a Baton Bearer in Kent & Medway

The Baton of Hope is set to tour Kent and Medway on September 22nd, 2025, where it will travel around the county to spread its message of hope and remembrance. As part of this initiative, the Baton of Hope is inviting people to become baton bearers.

If you would like to carry The Baton on the Baton of Hope UK Tour 2025, then please complete the form here. The closing time and date for applications is midnight on Monday 31st  March 2025.

The individual baton-bearing sections of route are between 200m and 500m long, and will normally be completed at a steady walking pace.  One individual per application is nominated as the Baton-bearer and will wear a special t-shirt and pass.

For security purposes, they must have their hand on The Baton for the whole of the designated section of route. A second individual can also be holding The Baton at the same time, but Baton security will insist that a nominated Baton-bearer (with appropriate t-shirt and pass) has her or his hand on The Baton at all times. Only two additional individuals can accompany a Baton-bearer for each section of the route.

Please note Baton bearers must be aged 16 or over. 16 and 17 year olds must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Your support is invaluable in raising awareness about suicide prevention and honoring those who have been affected by it. Together, we can make a difference and create a more supportive and understanding community for those in need. If you are passionate about suicide prevention and want to get involved in a meaningful way, consider becoming a baton bearer for the Baton of Hope in Kent and Medway.
